NHS Board Meeting 14-Oct-2010
Subject: VERY important meeting – North Central London NHS Board Meeting: 14 / 10 / 2010 @ 2pm
Dear All,
Anyone interested to hear the plight of our NHS locally – across Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Camden should try to get to this meeting. The ‘North Central London’ Sector are deciding where cuts are to be made across this sector. At the last one in July there was a lengthly discussion about the proposed cuts to Chase Farm. No one was sticking up for Enfield needless to say. Stephen Conroy was very silent indeed. At this meeting we may hear the findings of the ‘Clinical Advisory Group’ that was set up to analyse the same old proposals yet again or at least an update. (It was to be chaired by Peter Barnes.) Of course we know what they will say – despite repeated rejection from the public.
Whilst there has been so much focus on the confusion surrounding the White Paper – it has been possible for this quango to continue to plot the downfall of Chase Farm without too much publicity. My understanding is still that the ‘recommendations’ of this group are to be reported to NHS London in October / November time. Perhaps at this meeting they will once again recommend the downgrading of Chase Farm.
The meeting is held in public on Thursday 14th October, at 2pm at:
St. Pancras Conference Hall, St Pancras Hospital, London, NW1 0PE.
Copies of the agenda and meeting papers are available at www.ncl.nhs.uk

Very best,
Kate Wilkinson
